I’m a self taught bead maker and jewelry desiner, I started making jewelry with store bought beads as a hobby until one of my friends offered to sell my jewelry in her little establishment in 2005. From then on “clients” started coming with their clothes/attire and asked if I can custom design jewelry to match, happily I said, “..my pleasure..”. From then on, I never looked back.
I’m a big promoter of eco-living, I’ve expanded my creativity over the years and I’m now making my own beads from recycled materials. Because these beads are so unique and custom made to suit your preference and budget, they have become my signature piece/s. These vibrant colored beads are made from broken glasses, bottles, jars, vases etc.
All my beads are handcrafted in my studio located at Mangonui Motel in the far north of New Zealand. They are properly annealed for their strength and durability. They have been cleaned and ready to be made into whatever you wish. Every piece of my bead and jewelry is different and never to be repeated again. However, if there’s a specific one you desire and has been sold, I still can make a similar one for you.
Most of my designs are made with sterling silver, fine silver (Argentium) and 14kt gold filled findings.
